When not to upload

- Credit or debit card numbers
- Medical records
- Other people's IDs or documents

- Copy a redacted excerpt. Black out sensitive numbers, then paste the text.
- Screenshot with numbers covered. Use your phone or computer's built-in markup tools.
- Local/offline if you already have it. Some devices can read PDFs aloud or summarize without sending data anywhere.

- Use a black box or marker tool in Preview, Photos, or your PDF reader
- Replace account numbers with placeholders like
[ACCOUNT] - Keep only the last 4 digits if you must reference a number
